Atlantis Energy Solar Panels

Atlantis Energy Systems, Inc. manufactures building-integrated photovoltaic products (BIPV). This means they make custom solar glazing and roofing systems, including building materials made up of shingles, sky lighting, and curtain walls. Atlantis solar energy products are available through a dealer and distributor network.

History

In 1998 Atlantis Solar Systems AG, Switzerland, formed Atlantis Energy Systems Inc. in the US with a manufacturing facility in Virginia. In 2006, Atlantis won the Business Excellence Award in manufacturing from the Duchess County Economic Development Corp. In March 2006, Atlantis commissioned a 40-kW building-integrated PV system at New York's Whitehall Ferry Terminal. The system features 288 solar electric glass panels.

Photovoltaic (PV) Product Lines

Atlantis Energy makes the advanced Sunslates brand solar roofing slates, which are solar glass laminates that generate power and provide shading and skylights. Atlantis also offers two types of solar street lamps. Both are LED lamps that give high-intensity white light. (Atlantis supplies the battery and the customer has to supply the lamp pole.) Atlantis claims that their products are designed to function for at least fifty years.
