Shell Solar, formerly Siemens Solar, is one of the largest manufacturers of photovoltaic cells and solar panels in the world. They make a wide range of solar panels used in on-grid, industrial, and rural sectors. Shell Solar panels are available through distributors, authorized resellers, and contractors worldwide.
History
Siemens Solar was bought by Shell in 2001. Shell Solar, recently bought by Solarworld, manufactures the Siemens range of solar panels. Shell Solar is headquartered in Camarillo, California and has more than 30 years of experience in photovoltaics.
Photovoltaic (PV) Product Lines
The Siemens/Shell Solar panels use a unique proprietary technology called Powermax. Even in low sunlight, these solar panels generate power. The special coating on the panels makes them absorb more light instead of reflecting it. Shell Solar offers the SQ series, or Powermax Ultra, which has the largest modules available. The SQ series suits high-voltage grid use. The ST Series functions efficiently in hot temperatures and low light.
