Kyocera Solar, Inc. is a world leader in the solar electric industry. Kyocera is an OEM supplier in addition to serving a global network of over 1,500 authorized distributors and dealers. Their solar panels are also sold directly to building contractors. The company is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona. In June 2006, Kyocera received the State of California's 2005 "Flex Your Power" Environmental Award along with the Supplier Recognition Award from GE Healthcare, Inc.
History
Kyocera's first North American sales company was established in 1969 to cater to Silicon Valley's fast-growing semiconductor industry and other technology-oriented markets across the United States. Kyocera Solar Inc. is a 100% subsidiary of Kyocera International Inc. of San Diego, the North American holding company for Japan-based Kyocera Corporation founded in 1959. In 1976, Kyocera started manufacturing silicon solar cells. In 1998 Kyocera became the largest solar module manufacturer in the world.

Warranty
Kyocera's Photovoltaic Power Modules carry a 25-Year Limited Warranty. Kyocera Solar, Inc. warrants that it will repair or replace the modules in case the following events occur:
- A photovoltaic module's power output is less than 90% of the minimum rated power in the first 12 years.
- A module gives less than 80% of the minimum rated power within 25 years from the date of sale to the original purchaser.
