History
Kaneka Corporation was established in 1949 and has subsidiaries worldwide. Since November 1999, the subsidiary Kaneka SolarTech Co. Ltd. has produced solar cells made of amorphous silicon. Kaneka entered the European market in 2001. Kaneka has six U.S. subsidiaries.
Photovoltaic (PV) Product Lines
Kaneka PV modules are suitable for wide roof areas. The panels are built from unbreakable glass fitted into weather-resistant aluminum frames. The panels absorb maximum energy from the sun's rays regardless of weather conditions. Recently Kaneka introduced new See-Through PV modules which are designed to be aesthetically pleasing.

Warranty
Kaneka's solar panels come with a 25-year power output warranty. They are warranted for 80% power output for 25 years or 90% power output for 12 years. There is also a five-year product warranty.
